We consider privacy to be a quality feature of our offer. The protection of your personal data and the protection of your personal rights are important to us. We, therefore, comply with our information obligations according to Art. 12 et seq. of GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation), and are hereby informing you regarding the collection, processing and use of personal data in scopeQuery. Person-related data applies to all information that allows you to be directly or indirectly identified as a natural person (i.e. IP address, name, e-mail address).

2. What Kind of Data Do We Process?
When you use scopeQuery, your browser transmits the following information to our server, which we automatically collect:
- Company
- First and last name
- Address lines, post code, city, country
- Telephone, fax, email
- Date when the GDPR Directive was accepted
- Date of the last successful login
- Creation date of the login
3. For What Purpose and on What Legal Basis is Your Data Collected?
The processing is done in order to allow you to open scopeQuery and to ensure product stability and navigational ease, as well as providing us with statistical analysis.
Our legitimate interest in data processing lies in the reasons given above, which are necessary to protect the overriding interests as stated in Art. 6 para. 1 (f) GDPR.
Data, for example in the form of a request voluntarily submitted by the user, is also collected on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 (a) GDPR.
4. How Long Do We Keep Your Data?
Your data will be deleted as soon as it no longer fulfils its purpose; generally, when your visit to our website or the assigned undertaking is terminated.
5. Who is Receiving Your Data?
Data which is processed when using scopeQuery is not transferred to third parties unless it falls under an obligation requiring data disclosure for legal or criminal prosecution.
Access to your data is restricted to authorised persons involved in technical and editorial servers' support.
6. What Are Your Rights?
All data subjects have the right to obtain information and confirmation as to whether or not personal data concerning him or her are being processed (Art. 15 GDPR), and, where that is the case, access to the personal data and to its use.
The data subject has the right to demand the immediate rectification of inaccurate personal data (Art. 16 GDPR).
The data subject has the right to the erasure of personal data concerning him or her without undue delay (Art. 17 GDPR) if one of the reasons listed in Art. 17 GDPR applies.
The data subject has the right to restrict data processing (Art. 18 GDPR) if one of the reasons stated in Art. 18 GDPR applies. This is, for example, the case if the accuracy of the stored data is disputed.
The data subject has the right to withdraw consent to the processing of personal data at any time (Art. 7 para. 3 GDPR). It should be noted that a withdrawal of consent does not apply to prior data processing.
The data subject has the right to object (Art. 21 GDPR), on grounds relating to his or her particular situation, at any time to processing of personal data concerning him or her which is based on Article 6 para. 1. (f).
In addition, all data subjects have the right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority (in the Member State) (Art. 77 GDPR).
7. Cookies
scopeQuery uses cookies. Cookies are small, harmless text files that are stored on the user's terminal. We use these to make the utilisation of scopeQuery as efficient and user-friendly as possible. The Staatsarchiv Obwalden uses three so-called Session-Cookies, which terminate "at end of session" (i.e. when leaving the browser), and at the latest after deleting the browser history or after a system restart. Cookie activity depends on the user's individual browser settings, which can enable, restrict or disable cookies. It is possible that if the user restricts or disables cookies, certain browser functions may not be available or can only be used to a limited extent.
8. Contact Form
Our website offers you the possibility to contact us via an online contact form. The data you voluntarily provide (i.e. company, e-mail address, name, telephone number) are stored in order to respond to your enquiry. The data processed for contact purposes is carried out according to Art. 6 para. 1(a) GDPR based on your consent voluntarily provided. Your data are deleted as soon as they are no longer needed and if there are no legal retention requirements.
Your voluntary consent can be revoked at any time by sending an e-mail to [info@your-organization.org].
Attention: If you delete your cookies, this will result in the opt-out cookie also being deleted, which means that it must be re-activated.
